The Bisexual Resource Center -- an international organization -- provides education about and support for bisexual and progressive issues. It's book, Getting Bi: Voices of Bisexuals Around the World -- a new anthology of voices diverse in age, ethnicity, location, race and class -- gets rave reviews, including from the therapeutic community, who are using the book to help counter biphobia.

COLLEAGUES sponsors the "Out and Equal" Workplace Conference and provides other resources for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered employees.

GLSEN BlackBoard On-Line is the website of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Educators Network. GLSEN strives to teach respect in schools. Be sure to try the site's new search feature.

Human Rights Campaign logo. Human Rights Campaign – The Human Rights Campaign envisions an America where lesbian and gay people are ensured of their basic equal rights -- and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work, and in the community. Its National Coming Out Project has a great Web page about National Coming Out Day (Oct. 11) at http://www.hrc.org/ncop/.

In the life logo. In the life TV – a TV news magazine that reports on gay and lesbian issues and culture on national public television. "In the life" airs bimonthly; check times and dates on this site.

International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission – the IGLHRC's mission is to protect and advance the human rights of all people and communities subject to discrimination or abuse on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity or HIV status.

International Hate and Violence Education Foundation – Originally created as a memorial to Matthew Shepard, the IHAVE Foundation promotes recognition that all people are part of one humanity. It provides educational tools and resources to help people create a less hate-filled world where everyone can live free of violence and the fear of violence. IHAVE is looking for hikers, pledges and sponsors for its July 24 "Hike Against Hate & Violence."

LLDEF Logo. Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund is a national organization committed to achieving the full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, and people with HIV/AIDS through impact litigation, education, and public policy work.

NBLGLF The National Black Lesbian And Gay Leadership Forum advocates, educates and more. The Forum is helping to develop a pool of Black LBGT leaders and community activists by creating a network of interaction and information sharing.

NGLTF Logo. NGLTF Online – "The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF) is a leading progressive civil rights organization that has supported grassroots organizing and advocacy since 1973."

The National Youth Advocacy Coalition (NYAC) advocates for and with young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual transgender, or questioning (LGBTQ). It tries to end discrimination against these youth and ensure their physical and emotional well being.

The Pride Collaborative provides advocacy and support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in the workplace.

Trans_Survivors -- Are you FTM, MTF, genderqueer, multigendered? Maybe you're an abuse survivor or have been affected by the abuse or assault of someone you know. This online community for trans-identified individuals and SOFFAs is for you. Be sure to join its mailing list.

Twin Cities Quorum Chamber of Commerce – Minneapolis/St. Paul – is organized to foster leadership for economic activity and to develop a positive environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and GLBT-friendly individuals and consumers. Did you attend LEAGUE's 1999 Professional Development Conference in Minneapolis?

Born Oct. 6, 1968, the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC) has served as a safe haven for those rejected by other religious communities. Today, UFMCC consists of more than 300 local congregations in 15 countries. All are welcome in this inclusive worldwide fellowship of Christian congregations with a special outreach to the world's gay and lesbian community.
