The Alliance
On January 1, 1995, three AT&T organizations: The Association of Black Laboratories Employees, Inc.(ABLE); The Committee of AT&T Black Employees; and The Employee Focus Group (ERG) were merged to create The Alliance of Black Telecommunication Employees, Inc. (The Alliance).
The Alliance's mission is to "enhance the professional, educational, career, cultural and economic development of AT&T African American employees.
The strategic thrusts of The Alliance are: Professional Development, Community Action, Networking, Diversity Management & Affirmative Action Advocacy, Spiritual Enrichment, and Economic Development.

4A
The Asian/Pacific American Association for Advancement (4A) at AT&T is a national organization that advocates the professional advancement and full utilization of employees of Asian and Pacific Island decent, as well as all employees of AT&T. The 4A National Organization works as the focal point of communication for Asian and Pacific American employees' concerns. It partners and builds alliances with a variety of resources, including AT&T executives and managers, other diverse employee groups, external private and public sector organizations, and local communities.
The 4A organization is committed to:
- Advance the professional, educational, career and economic development of Asian and Pacific Island American employees at AT&T
- Protect and champion rights and interests of AT&T Asian and Pacific Island American employees
- Support better communications, understanding and appreciation of Asian and Pacific Island Americans and other diverse employees as a valuable resource within AT&T
- Maintain relationships with other AT&T organizations that support diversity, promote awareness and cooperation, and maximize and recognize employee contributions.

HISPA
HISPA (Hispanic Association of AT&T) is an all-inclusive Business Resource Group designed to strengthen its members through professional development and to help the Hispanic community through volunteerism and charity.
HISPA's mission is: "To maintain a common interest global Hispanic organization committed to promoting the development, growth, advancement, and general well-being of Hispanics and other Business Resource Groups (BRGs) in order to create a productive, diverse workforce, in preparation for corporate and community leadership." HISPA is involved in many community organizations and charitable causes, and has positioned itself to create goodwill for both the benefit of the community and indirectly, AT&T. HISPA members are committed to supporting our community and our company.

ICAE -- Inter-Tribal Council
The Inter-Tribal Council of AT&T Employees (ICAE) is an organization of AT&T employees from many tribal affiliations and those who are interested in issues concerning Native Americans. The organization currently has eight chapters throughout the country.
Its mission is to "establish a Native American organization open to all employees committed to the cultural development, career advancement, education, understanding and the general well-being of all employees, and more specifically Native Americans."

IDEAL
IDEAL is a resource organization which partners with AT&T in raising sensitivity and awareness. Our mission is to enhance understanding and awareness of the challenges facing individuals with disabilities in the workplace, support programs geared towards the realization of common goals and objectives, and aid in the removal of barriers that impede the full development and optimum productivity of employees with disabilities.
IDEAL provides a supportive network and forum for AT&T employees to address disabilities issues. Together we are working to create an environment that fosters development of all employees to fullest potential. We strongly believe that we can help AT&T to grow as a leader among corporations, and to attain greater utilization of the capabilities and talents of all employees, including those with disabilities. We aspire to promote a global Culture which celebrates diversity.

WATT
Corporate Women of AT&T (WATT) officially dissolved on May 31, 1996. Three new Business Resource Groups for women were created to reflect the AT&T corporate restructure into AT&T, Lucent Technologies, and NCR Corp:
These groups immediately began to function independently.
- Women in Leadership (WILL, Lucent)
- Women of NCR (WIN)
- Women of AT&T (WATT).
National WATT's mission is to provide an avenue for all women in AT&T to achieve and demonstrate their leadership abilities; ensure professional and personal development for continuous growth, advancement and success; support AT&T's Business Strategies by providing insight into targeted markets; promote awareness of AT&T in the community through active involvement in community-related activities; promote a communications and support network to share information; achieve awareness skills and knowledge of doing business in a Global environment; recognize women's positive presence within the business and throughout the communities in which we work and live.
