LEAGUE members support many community programs and national organizations. Many members, as well as AT&T employees, are active participants in local and national efforts including serving the gay and lesbian community, AIDS fundraising and awareness efforts, and assisting AT&T in their marketing efforts to the gay and lesbian community.In 1996, an AT&T program began that gives all AT&T employees the opportunity to devote one paid workday to community service as part of the "AT&T Cares" effort.
