- Recognized customers in our community via Ambassador PR program participation.
- Redefined LEAGUE's mission as a Business Resource Group (BRG), within AT&T (ERG to BRG).
- Marketed AT&T WorldNetSM Service to our community via AT&T WorldNet Business Reach program.
- "LEAGUE Means Business" competitive information bureau created.
- Regular Chapter Presidents' meetings established 1st quarter 1997.
- Weekly National Executive meetings established 1st quarter 1997.
- Dues policy created and approved, 1st quarter 1997.
- LEAGUE "virtual store" established, stocked, and procedures developed.
- Domestic Partner Benefits Business Case developed and signed off by all BRG presidents; submitted to the Corporation.
- LEAGUE Foundation established. First scholarships awarded May 1997.
- Membership welcome package developed and provided to chapters May 1997.
- Member incentive program created and launched May 1997.
- First participated in AT&T Cares program on National level, May 1997.
- Coordinated AT&T presence at the Washington, D.C. "Names Quilt" display.
- BRG funding guidelines co-developed with the Inter-Business Operating Unit (BOU) Diversity Team.
- BRG conference attendance guidelines co-developed with the Inter-BOU Diversity Team; guidelines approved and adopted by Business Markets Division and Operations and Systems Management.
- Planned and implemented the 1997 LEAGUE Professional Development Conference.
- Planned and implemented September 1996 and May 1997 Mid-Year Leadership Conferences.
- Internet and Intranet home pages developed and updated regularly.
- New LEAGUE at AT&T and Safe Space Brochures developed and distributed.
- Trivestiture completed; finances settled; new financial procedures developed.
- LEAGUE Union Committee, Membership Committed created, staffed and charters developed.
- LEAGUE Treasurer, People/Value/Strength EVP, Membership VP, Education VP, Union Liaison EVP, LEAGUE Statistician and Market Development VP positions staffed.
- Became founding member of National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF) sponsored workplace coalition group COLLEAGUES, November 1996.
- Conducted National By-laws compliance review and assisted local chapters in revising and creating by-laws, as needed.
- Gathered Chapter Accomplishments and documented the 1996-97 LEAGUE accomplishments for both National and Chapters. Created database and forms needed to support accomplishments reporting by committees, executives and chapters.
- Maintain National contact lists, organization charts, job descriptions, etc.
- Established the Safe Space* Peer Support Helpline.
- Administer LEAGUE National Helpline, contact line and LEAGUE teleconference bridge.
- Facilitated AT&T's support and participation in all three GLAAD Media Awards: Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and New York.
- Supported AT&T's to co-sponsorship of the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund reception at the Democratic National Convention for gay and lesbian delegates and elected officials.
- Co-host of the annual PFLAG Conference in Washington, D.C.
- Exhibited at the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association conference.
- Supported AT&T at the Gay and Lesbian Business & Consumer Expos in Washington, D.C. and New York City.
- Teamed with the NGLTF in a national teleconference joint leadership program and held workshops on workplace issues at NGLTF's annual "Creating Change" conference.
- Participated in the first annual Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Teachers Network (GLSTN) Conference.
- Obtained AT&T sponsorship of and participated in the planning of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus "Holiday Concert Series" and the Academy of Friends event for the Anitieri organization.
