LEAGUE's National Community Service Activities 1995 and 1996
- October 1996 LEAGUE at AT&T brings
the largest contingent of volunteers to the NAMES Project
AIDS Memorial Quilt Display.
- April 1996 AT&T and LEAGUE at
AT&T participate in the 3rd Annual Lesbian & Gay
Business and Consumer Expo. LEAGUE at AT&T sponsors the
National Gay & Lesbian Task
Force's (NGLTF) "Out and Equal in the '90's" conference.
- January 1996 LEAGUE Denver and AT&T
co-host the Human Rights Campaign's
regional leadership event and banquet. LEAGUE Oklahoma City sponsors and
marches in the city's Martin Luther King Day parade and
contributes to fund-raisers supporting the lesbian and
gay victims of the Oklahoma City bombing.
- December 1995 LEAGUE at AT&T participates in
the White House Conference on HIV/AIDS. All chapters several
joined by the other Business Resource Groups at AT&T
host World AIDS Day events at several work locations.
- October 1995 At a private reception hosted by Senators
Ted Kennedy, Tom Harkin, Charles Robb, and others, LEAGUE and the
AT&T Foundation make a joint contribution to the Holocaust Museum,
in its program underwriting historical research for the role of
lesbians and gay men in the Nazi concentration camps.
