American Cancer Society-RFL

Fellow LEAGUE members,

Here is some exciting information regarding the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life (RFL) program. For the last 4 years, AT&T has participated in this worthy cause and, in 2003, AT&T raised over $286K! This year, AT&T showed its unity by attaining a 66% increase over the 2002 contribution with the help of LEAGUE, 4A, The Alliance, IDEAL, and the AT&T Pioneers.[Note 1] AT&T was recently recognized by the American Cancer Society as a 2003 RFL National Team Corporation at the Eastern RFL Leadership Summit in New Orleans. Ilene Worthington proudly accepted the award on AT&T's behalf.

LEAGUE at AT&T would like to continue our commitment to RFL. I will keep you posted on Relay For Life activities as they take place in cities where we have LEAGUE chapters. Some of you have already participated in previous years and, hopefully, we can increase participation in 2004.

I will also be working with our webmasters to work on linking the RFL site from our LEAGUE website to ensure that we have current information easily accessible to our membership at all times. So drop by the RFL website where you can view the activities going on in your state (link available only on the AT&T intranet):

I'm also including a presentation that was provided from RFL to the BRGs (Business Resource Groups) that will give you an insight on goals, activities, and more information on getting involved.
