Who is LEAGUE?
LEAGUE is the GBLT employee organization of AT&T.
The members of LEAGUE provide a supportive environment for LGBT employees and allies to network with one another and to develop professionally; to promote an accepting, diverse and respectful work environment in support of AT&T's Diversity Vision; and to strengthen AT&T’s presence in the LGBT community as well as in the global community.
Following are the goals of LEAGUE:
- Provide networking and mentoring opportunities through meetings, community and AT&T projects that promote our members growth and to present a talented leadership pool for AT&T.
- Sponsor LGBT educational and cultural activities to expand awareness of the value of diversity in our workforce.
- Serve as a focal point and sounding board for corporate awareness regarding LGBT employees at AT&T.
- Work with AT&T leadership, unions representing AT&T employees, and all interested parties to abolish harassment and discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, thereby empowering AT&T employees to reach their full potential.
- Improve continuously the partnership between LEAGUE and AT&T to address LGBT issues in the marketplace, and to identify and capitalize on revenue opportunities for AT&T.
- Promote the growth and presence of AT&T in the LGBT community by engaging in external community activities and by serving as a liaison between the community and AT&T.
